Attention! Spoilers!
So, in Knights of the Fallen Empire we get new romanceable companions.
The first romance can be triggered in Chapter 9 with one of three available companions: Lana Beniko, Theron Shan or Koth Vortena. You'll need to pick 'Flirt' options during the talk in cantina and there will be a pop-up message saying you're going to start romance with <insert companion's name here>.
It doesn't matter if your character was married before and if you were flirting with Lana and/or Theron during the Shadow of Revan storyline.
It is already confirmed that when you meet your ex-wife or ex-husband in KOTFE (Kaliyo for male Agent or Aric for female Trooper) you can break your current romance and return to her/him. To do so pick 'Flirt' options in dialogs with your ex and at some point you'll get a warning about new romance start. Keep in mind that you can romance only with one companion and it is still unknown if further KOTFE story will give us a chance to switch to another companion once more.
By the way, since 4.0 companion questlines sometimes appear to be bugged and even if you've finished them all you may appear to not be flagged as married. As far as Courting gifts are bugged as well there's no way to check the 'marriage' flag before you start the KOTFE storyline. If the marriage mission worked properly, in KOTFE (in Chapter 4, in particular) you receive a mail from your husband / wife saying he / she doesn't believe you're dead and keeps searching for you.
Also note that KOTFE allows same gender romancing, so all three new rpmanceable companions are bisexual. However, thus rule seems to not be applied to pre-KOTFE ones and you cannot romance with Kaliyo with your female Agent.
Lana Beniko
Lana is the first companion we're getting in the KOTFE story (well, actually Darth Marr goes first, but temporarily and he's not romanceable). Lana is rather easy companion to romance with. Even if you're going pure Light Side (she'll disapprove most of your choices) or LS with help from Valkorion (she'll disapprove even more) she'll answer your flirting and you can begin a full-scale romance in Chapter 9. It is still unknown if at some point you'll be able to make her angry enough to split with you (a very patient Sith Lord she is).
Theron Shan
Theron is the easiest companion to romance with. You meet him in Chapter 9, so there's not so much for him to disapprove. There is only one dialog prior to cantina talk in which you should choose 'Flirt' option, all you other previous choices do not matter. It is still unknown if at some point of the story he'll decide to split with you.
Koth Vortena
Technically you meet this guy in Chapter 3, but he appears as you companion only starting from Chapter 4. Koth is the hardest companion for romancing, especially if you're playing a Dark Side character. He'll greatly disapprove any of your DS choices which lead to harming people of Zakuul. If you've chosen to let reactor blow up (Chapter 3), forget about romancing with Koth. You'll have an option to apologise but he'll still refuse you as his partner in Chapter 9. It's funny, but in the same time he'll approve if you accept Valkorion's help which is also a DS choice (he is still fond of the Immortal Emperor).
