This is a story of Sith Warrior (Emperor's Wrath), mostly Dark Side
The story of Revan Reborn is over. Ziost lies in ruins after the ritual performed by Vitiate. He's still alive, somewhere among the stars. Your ally Darth Marr continues his search with the aim to destroy the Sith Emperor forever.
The Knights of the Fallen Empire story begins when you get a call from Darth Marr to join him on his spaceship. He's finally found the Emperor. At least, he's certain of it.
Invaders are all around the ship. You and Darth Marr fight your way to backup controls.
Choices matter
In Chapter 1 "The Hunt" there are several moments with DS/LS choice:
- invasion has already begun and you meet an imp and a pub soldiers arguing if they need to abandon their friends fighting invaders in a hangar (to be sure invaders don't come through) or to rescue them. Your choice will be remembered by both soldiers (imp supports DS choice and pub - LS one).
- when you and Darth Marr finally get to controls it appears that the battle is already lost: you've lost your shields, hyperdrive is burnt and the bridge is full of enemies. You may choose either to evacuate your troops from the ship (LS) or to attack the enemy fleet and to take as many of them as you can (DS, supported by Darth Marr).
- when you face the Eternal Emperor he offers you to kneel and accept his power. You may choose to accept it (DS) or to refuse (LS).
Whatever your choices make, Darth Marr dies and you are being frozen in carbonite. The irony is that if you accept Valkorion's offer of power you're imprisoned for Arcann's crime. In case of LS choice you kill Valkorion yourself.
Companions: old and new
When the story begins, you lose all of your previous companions. The ones which will be still available for you are Treek, HK-51, Nico Okarr (if you used the subscriber reward token to get him) and Cartel Market ones. Later it will be possible to summon your "lost" companions via special terminal.
You get Darth Marr as your temporary companion (for this chapter only). It is still unknown if he returns as your permanent companion in the future. Anyway, you can stop your progress through KOTFE story right here and keep him as a permanent companion (imagine how Trooper commands him to craft a shotgun). By the way, his most favourite gifts are Technology and Imperial Memorabilia.
